Relationship's are hard, even harder I think in Secondlife. The issue is how do you really know if someone is being honest and open with you?
I have been with my current partner for 14months. I am no expert on relationships, I am a normal person looking for someone to share my life with. This amazing man make me the happiest person. He supports me in everything I do and it allows me to grow, expore and simply be me. I will be forever grateful to have met him no matter what our future holds. Now when it comes to relationships I like to think Im a freindly person who is pretty open and honest, there is not much my partner doesnt know about me and to be clear the things he doesnt know, he would agree it would be a over share.
Everyday I log onto my my facebook, it is common for me to see new relationships, broken hearts and couples that said I love you last week now saying horrible things to each other. I have also seen this habit which seams to happen alot in Secondlife that people think relationships are almost disposable. Now what I mean by that is they have met, partnered, and in some cases even got married and had kids, only to broke up within a week or a month. My question is how long did you take to date, hang out and get to really know each other?
Now I will be honest, I feel my relationship history hasn't been that successful despite feeling like I did spend time to get to know each other and I like many was silly enough to over look the warning signs and red flags and I got swept away by all the smoke and mirrors so to speak when I was "love bombed". It my belief that relationships are a partnership, both people giving ang showing the same effort, trust, honestly, and love, it will never work in the long run.
Everyone relationship, needs love and respect to grow, not just romantic ones, this is done over time. There will always be ups and downs, and no relationship will ever be able to give you that guarantee of "Happy ever After" and it so hard to not be wairy when you have been so hurt in the past. We simple cant carry that past hurt with us, it only hurts us and our partner. You need to free yourself, be open in heart and mind, you never know, Mr or Mrs Right, may be closer than you think.
